VP of Direct Sales, Managed Applications

As the VP of Direct Sales, Managed Applications you will lead our most critical strategic business unit to achieve 20+% revenue growth.  This role will work directly with all levels of the company, including CEO and Board of Directors, to meet and exceed our revenue growth goals. The right leader will be both technically adept in e-Commerce and Application Hosting as well as a disciplined Sales Executive who brings the right mix of art and science to the job.  

As the VP of Direct Sales, Managed Applications you would:

  • Lead a team of sales professionals to recruit, acquire, and grow existing accounts
  • Drive sales performance to ensure the company meets or exceeds our revenue growth goals
  • Hire, motivate, and retain competent and hungry sales professionals
  • Develop - and measure - well targeted strategies and sales plans
  • Ensure effective prospecting, up/cross selling, and pipeline development
  • Develop strategies for the allocation of resources for the achievement of given quotas
  • Foster a culture of sales excellence across all aspects of the sales and account management cycle, from lead generation through negotiation and delivery
  • Collaborate with other departments in order to develop sales strategy for enhancing the company’s growth
  • Lead, manage, and inspire a team responsible for qualifying inbound leads, converting new customers, and retaining existing customers
  • Lead variety of training sessions on a monthly basis, this could range from small group to large group presentations and development sessions
  • Lead pitch development process
  • Ensure the consistent implementation of effective sales processes for optimum performance and success of the organization
  • Track, monitor, and respond to all company’s performances related to sales
  • Develop effective benchmarks to optimize performance

You have:

  • Creativity and ability to be a problem solver; with willingness and ability to figure out things on the fly
  • Flexibility in work schedules
  • A strong understanding of online metrics/analytics and the ability to communicate ROI
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills 
  • The ability to thrive in a team environment and a history in developing trusted relationships
  • Great negotiating skills with the ability to influence people at all levels
  • A strong understanding of business practices and industry trends
  • Knowledge and ability to appropriately manage a given budget
  • Experience successfully leading and growing inside sales teams
  • Proven ability to negotiate successfully and close complex contracts
