Service Delivery Technician

The Service Delivery Technician is in charge of building incoming orders with consideration to the specifications requested. He/She will keep well documented notes on customer accounts and track stock to ensure that we have appropriate product levels to meet customer’s requests.

As a Service Delivery Technician you would:

  • Assemble/Disassemble, troubleshoot, and configure servers, firewalls, switches, etc.
  • Ensure that all information is appropriately documented on customers accounts
  • Constantly strive to streamline the department
  • Contribute to internal documentation (wiki’s) of practices/procedures
  • Stay on top of departmental queues to ensure requests are completed in a timely manner
  • Ensure that products are properly accounted for and inventoried
  • Check IP status on RBLs and quarantine as needed
  • RMA defective hardware
  • Package equipment for shipping for colo customers or 3rd parties
  • Upkeep of our internal systems
  • Work with Enterprise level customers and complex setups to ensure accuracy
  • Advocate between departments to ensure efficiency
  • Continue to develop and share knowledge and skills through appropriate training

You Have:

  • 2+ years relevant experience
  • Ability to appropriately set up hardware within the constraints of the data center layout
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux, the ability to install and configure either
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware and its various configurations
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of various software installation techniques (pxe, disk, etc.)
  • Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills 
  • Advanced knowledge of networking techniques
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
